if i just stay home every night
then you'll never have to take
me home in case i'm not having
a good time.

if i just sit alone and do more important things
you'll never have to worry about me not having my
homework done, or my room cleaned, and you won't have
to tell everyone why i'm not there, because i'll have plenty
of time to do things. but wait - i'll be too busy.

if you scream at me more i will never talk back, and i will
always know what i have done wrong because you will have
told me so many times.
and if you tell me you love me, no matter what else you do to me,
i will always stay with you. because i just want to be loved.
